For the purposes of this statement, the controller of your personal data is Vilicom Engineering Limited and/or Vilicom UK Limited.

What Information does Vilicom collect?

When you engage with Vilicom, our Site (Newsletter) or Services (Supplier, Contractor, Subcontractor, Employee, Trainings & Workshops, Presentations), we collect Information that, alone or in combination with other data, could be used to identify you (“Personal Data”).  Some of the Information we collect is stored in a manner that cannot be linked back to you (“Non-Personal Data”).

How does Vilicom use my Information?

Does Vilicom Share my Information?

Your data are not shared with any other company. Vilicom does not share your Personal Data with third parties to enabling them to deliver their advertisements to you.

We only disclose Personal Data to third parties when we use service providers who assist us in meeting business operation’s needs, delivering, and improving our Services. We also use service providers for specific services and functions, including email communication, customer support services, and analytics. These service providers may only access, process, or store Personal Data pursuant to our instructions and to perform their duties to us.

Does Vilicom sell or rent my Personal Data?

No, Vilicom does not sell or rent your Personal Data.

Does Vilicom Collect Sensitive Personal Information?

In general, we do not collect sensitive information unless it is volunteered by you.

Does Vilicom use cookies?

Individuals have certain rights in respect to their personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete Personal Data we process through your use of the Site, Software, and/or Services. You can:

You can request a Personal Data Report by contacting company on info@vilicom.com.  This report will include the Personal Data we have about you, provided to you in a structured, commonly used, and portable format.  Please note that Vilicom may request additional information from you to verify your identity before we disclose any information.  You can have your Personal Data corrected or deleted. Some Personal Data can be updated by you. You can update your name and email address, as well as language preference. You can remove your Personal Data by contacting company on info@vilicom.com.

Does Vilicom ever make any of my Personal Data public?

No, we do not share Personal Data or User Content except in the limited circumstances described in the “Does Vilicom share my Information?” section of the Policy.

Data Storage, Transfer, Retention, and Deletion

Where is my Information stored?

Information submitted to Vilicom will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the Republic of Ireland. If you post or transfer any Information to or through our Site, Software, and/or Services, you are agreeing to such Information, including Personal Data being hosted and accessed in the Republic of Ireland.  All personal data is collected and processed in accordance with Irish, UK and EU data protection laws

How we deal with International Data Transfer?

Vilicom operates businesses mainly in Republic in Ireland and United Kingdom. If in the future we will operate in  multiple jurisdictions, some of which will not be located in the European Economic Area (EEA) we will  require all services providers to process your information in a secure manner and in accordance with Irish, UK and EU laws on data protection.

How secure is my Information?

Vilicom is committed to protecting the security of your Information and takes reasonable precautions to protect it. However, Internet data transmissions, whether wired or wireless, cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and as a result, we cannot ensure the security of Information you transmit to us, including Personal Data; accordingly, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk.

Once we receive your data, we protect it on our servers using a combination of technical, physical, and logical security safeguards. The security of the data stored locally in any of our Software installed on your computing device requires that you make use of the security features of your device. We recommend that you take the appropriate steps to secure all computing devices that you use in connection with our Site, Software, and Services.

If Vilicom learns of a security system breach, we will attempt to notify you and provide information on protective steps, if available, through the email address that you have provided to us.

Does Vilicom have a Data Protection Officer ?

We have appointed a Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) to oversee compliance with this policy. In addition, you always have the right to make a complaint at any time to a supervisory authority such as the Data Protection Commissioner or Information Commissioner’s Office.  If you think that we haven’t complied with data protection laws, you have a right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

How long is Personal Data retained?

You can remove your Personal Data from Vilicom database at any time by contacting Vilicom on info@vilicom.com with a Personal Data Request.

We take security responsibilities seriously, employing the most appropriate physical and technical measures, including staff training and awareness and we review these measures regularly. We will keep your personal data for as long as it is necessary to enable you to use our services, to provide our services to you, unless a longer retention period is required. This is to comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes with any parties and otherwise as necessary to allow us for our legitimate business interests, including fraud detection and prevention and to comply with our legal obligations including tax, legal reporting, and auditing obligations.  When we no longer need your personal data, we will securely delete or destroy it. We will also consider if and how we can minimise over time the personal data that we use, and if we can anonymise your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you or identify you, in which case we may use that information without further notice to you.

Will this Privacy Policy ever change?

Over time we may need to update this Policy to keep pace with changes in our Site, Software, and Services, our business, and laws applicable to us and you.
