After almost four decades of national rollout, we’re nearly there.  Wireless coverage has improved substantially over the years and the remaining gaps are being filled indoors and in rural areas using a variety of new technologies.  However, one significant coverage gap that remains is along the railways.  There is a clear case for investment in this coverage with benefits for mobile operators, train operators and passengers alike.  This whitepaper examines the business case, challenges to be overcome and the feasibility of delivering the required solution.
